With its stunning 18th century Georgian architecture and wealth of shops, hotels, restaurants and pubs, Chichester attracts many tourists and offers great accommodation, gastronomy and shopping.
The 900 year old cathedral combines English gothic and Norman architecture and contains two rare medieval sculptures, tapestries, sculpture and a stained glass window by Marc Chagall. Chichester was originally built by the Romans in the first century and has many Roman features to see including 2 museums where mosaic floors, skeletons and hypocaust systems have been excavated.
Situated in between the south coast and the 'South Downs' national park, Chichester has many attractions that make your English language study a pleasure. The beaches and harbours of the coast to the south of Chichester offer great opportunities for sailing, windsurfing, diving and bird watching.
To the north of the city is the South Downs national park. The Goodwood Estate, is set within 12,000 acres of beautiful countryside to the North of the city. Napoleonic prisoners of war are reputed to have built its walls with flint mined from the surrounding chalk hills.
Nowadays, Goodwood offers a variety of vibrant events at its race course, motor circuit, airfield and hotel. The famous 'festival of Speed' and 'Goodwood Revival' celebrate the ultra modern world of motor sport, as well as all that is 'retro'.

“Helen worked with our daughter, Jessica, to get her from grade C level to get an A in her English GCSE. Jessica felt that Helen increased her confidence with expression and grammar and was always available for support either face to face or by email.”
